Jack Has Anxiety, How We Manage

Written by Stacee Brown

Hi! My name is Stacee Brown. I am a professional dog trainer, homeschool mom and wife to an artist/engineer. I love working with families and their dogs.

Jack is one of our personal dogs. Nope, my dogs are not perfect. Jack came to us with some pretty high anxieties. We manage his anxieties with the help of prescription medication, and a ton of ongoing training. When we have light to medium thunderstorms, I walk Jack in the rain. Sometimes, like this past week, I fed him his meal in the rain. Why, because training with Jack is never-ending. Jack has come a very long way over the years and we’ve had to be creative about our work with him. I have to keep my expectations realistic for what my Jackie can do. He’s an amazing dog, and we love him despite his wackiness.
